Ernst Lab🧠 I study morphogen patterning in midbrain dopaminergic cells in vitro. 🧫 I use stem cells to model early development in a dish and use gene editing techniques to understand the role of different genes in midbrain cell development.

- Led a team of 11 grad students in delivering academic and social activities for the student body in the Dept. of Human Genetics. - Reframed the value proposition of being an executive member to sustain members’ motivation. 100% of my team remained actively engaged throughout their mandate and I expanded the leadership team by 57%.- Prioritized HGSS.

- Increased HGSS’ social media presence to combat graduate student isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.- Created an Instagram page for HGSS to promote engagement with the student body and with other student societies. Maximum engagement rates reached 16% for announcement posts and 34% for call-to-action posts; follower number has organically increased.

- Initiated structured analyses of trainee feedback on our annual 4-day training program to improve its impact.- Created the first “Career Networking Happy Hour” to address gaps in career-oriented and interactive activities.
