Anjit Kumar – The philanthropistAnjit Kumar, a son born in a middle class family lived in Village New Delhi. Born and raised in a rural area, grew up with the passion to do something for his people in his village and its surrounding areas.Anjit studied and worked his way through to the corporate world working for some well known banking and automobile institutions of the Country. His profile included diversity in business, from Car loans to selling automobiles to personal loans, Anjit worked really hard and paved his way to the top. 11 years of corporate culture kept him unsettled to go back to his roots.His childhood dream to give back to his people to the society was poking him and this unsettled feeling and dream turned him to be what he is today.He wanted to do good for children of the rural society focussing on quality education and good quality of life. He started the voluntary effort to increase the well being of humankind by starting his play and primary schools in his village.Initially with limited savings from his work life and limited resources, Anjit decided to go all in, to start this school. While doing so he decided that he would bring the best for the children and that they would learn to read and write in a school with the best of UK based International Curriculum.The curriculum has been designed for whole development of the child , taking into account their cognitive , physical, social, emotional and sensorial abilities. Children learn in and eco- friendly environment in consonance with an innovative methodology.He started his own trust under which he opened his School named Puffins.It was India’s most advanced and affordable playschool with world class curriculum. The same school in any good urban location would charge fees in the tune of 5000-8000, there Anjit provided the same education in 1000-1200 INR.He made sure each class was air-conditioned, 100 % Audio Video facility, play area, swimming pool and everything.
