A medical researcher for 25 years, I specialized in brain development, stress and health studies. It opened doors to various universities, independent research centres and hospitals in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia. These international work experiences have provided unique opportunities to become engaged in research in different cultures. They have strengthen my ability to adapt and accommodate to different science oriented environments in order to be productive and successful. Over the years, my interest in the dissemination of health-related research outcomes to the wider public grew more & more and eventually led to a postgraduate diploma in science communication from the University of Western Australia in 2011. I now enjoy combining my expertise and knowledge in medical research with newly developed skills and expertise in science communication and science publishing - all that is inherently linked to research ethics and integrity. I like to participate in extended education to the younger generation of researchers to develop a high standard of research performance and reporting.
