I am Ankit Kumar, currently working as a Network Security Analyst at HCLTech. I hold a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar College of Engineering, Begusarai. As part of the Shared Services team in the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC), I have worked on numerous projects, including Electrolux, TVH, Clif Bar, Danfoss, Cambrex, SKF, Bekaert, RedGo, Signify, Ulse, M&D, Ashland, and Collision. My responsibilities include configuring and troubleshooting network & Security devices such as Switches, Routers, Palo & Alto, Wireless LAN controllers (WLC), Access Points, Cisco Meraki, and SD-WAN technologies.Key Responsibilities:Configuration and Management:Responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing Palo Alto Networks security solutions within the organization's IT infrastructure.Security Policy Implementation:Implement security policies, Network Address Translation (NAT), and VPN configurations.Threat Prevention and Filtering:Set up and manage URL filtering, antivirus, anti-spyware, and other threat prevention mechanisms.Network Device Configuration and Troubleshooting:Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as Cisco routers, HP/Dell/Cisco switches, Cisco Meraki, Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), and access points.Network Protocols Knowledge:Strong understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models, as well as routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.Server Load Balancing:Configure and manage servers on load balancers to optimize performance and availability.Firmware Upgrades:Upgrade IOS for Meraki-based switches and access points to ensure devices are up-to-date and secure.Documentation and Compliance:Validate inventory, draft runbooks for projects, and create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent operations.Ticketing and Monitoring Tools:Utilize ticketing tools like ServiceNow, SX Tools, and Top Desk, and monitor devices using OP5, Zabbix, and SolarWinds.Administrative Operations:Perform daily administrative tasks, including monitoring production and non-production systems, managing incidents and service requests, and alert monitoring.I possess strong design and integration skills, along with effective problem-solving capabilities.
