Solver Development Engineer - Flowsimulator
Current1. Developing API for Flow Simulator to allow customer main control program to load the FS API implicitly or explicitly for seamless integration and co-simulation.2.Design, development and modification of 1D - 3D coupling platform, using scientific analysis and mathematical models, involving Flow Simulator and various Altair 3D solvers such as AcuSolve and Optistruct to name a few, using Python and C to develop the coupling platform.3. Inclusion and maintenance of a modelling environment known as Functional Mock-up Interface to Flow Simulator which enables exchange of dynamic models using a combination of XML files, binaries and C code zipped into a single file.4.Development and maintenance of Flow Simulator solver to improve its performance and expand its capabilities using Fortran as the programming language.5.Analyze, design and develop test suites and perform QA tasks for Flow Simulator and 1D - 3D coupling platform to rate performance, test and measure outcomes of new features and amend or report bugs. This involves 1D and 3D modelling in various software such as Flow Simulator, Hypermesh, Simlab and other Altair products.
