Student Research AssistantUniversity Jan 2017 - Dec 2019Huntsville, Alabama Area• Helped Professor Mike Newchurch in designing and teaching a 300 level college course on environmental pollution and climate change• Conducted over 75 stratospheric balloon launches for vertical profiling of ozone concentration at the Huntsville Ozonesonde Station.• Collected temperature, ozone and humidity data for NOAA with radiosondes attached to balloons and create plots showing variation in the above parameters with altitude.• Calibrated sensitive instruments such as ozone and carbon dioxide monitors to measure pollutant concentration in parts per billion.• Conducted research on new techniques to measure ozone with an ozone Lidar instrument. -
Summer Research Student At The Marine Policy CenterWoods Hole Oceanographic Institution May 2018 - Aug 2018Woods Hole, Massachusetts, United States• Conducted research using a MATLAB model using Bayesian statistical inference on finding the economic value of research on the Biological Carbon Pump. The value was calculated by factoring the social cost of carbon using the Excel-based DICE model.
