In 2019, at 16, Ankush initiated a cloth donation drive for the underprivileged, garnering support from a caring teacher. They collected, cleaned, and packed clothes zealously. The drive thrived, leading to weekly visits to a community near Delhi's signature bridge, nurturing bonds with children and earning recognition from the elderly.Exploring further, Ankush joined Pravah's Youth Leaders For Clean Air Fellowship, enlightening him about environmental issues. He engaged with a diverse array of people, grasping Pravah's innovative 5th space concept for inclusive environments.Ankush anchored the mobilization team for 'Music for Harmony,' mastering event management. He also joined 'Samjho Toh,' refining his communication and conflict resolution skills.A rural internship in Madhya Pradesh deepened his understanding of grassroots work. Engaging with Pravah's 'My Life, Mere Faisle' program, he facilitated sessions on crucial topics in a Delhi government school, impacting 180 students.Inspired, Ankush founded COHAS, envisioning holistic education for underprivileged children, emphasizing gender awareness. He now works full-time at Jamghat, empowering street children through essential aid, education, and nurturing.Grateful for diverse experiences, Ankush is poised to infuse COHAS with these lessons, aspiring to illuminate society with positive change.
