Ann Black Work Experience Details

    Learning Development Specialist
    Sandvik Nov 2017 - Present
    Brisbane, Australia
I work in the L&D team at Sandvik where a wide range of programs are designed, co-ordinated and rolled out to develop Sandvik employees, I help ensure that learning and development is interesting, fun, effective and new skills and knowledge can be applied in real life in the individuals workplace. Earlier, while employed at Modular Mining Systems, I worked as a member of the Autonomous Haul System team where I provided learning and development services on a global basis including material development and customisation for online, instructor led and field training environments.I joined Caterpillar Global Mining as a Senior Technical Training Consultant, in 2012, where I worked for more than 3 years in the provision of program development and I was involved in the roll out of the first Fleet Material on Caterpillars MineStar system, including the autonomous system for customers located in Australia. I also worked on the first MineStar training centre project that was based in Perth, Western Australia. This project involved the planning and setting up of a dedicated MineStar training facility where mining personnel could attend effective training that was designed to work around their predominantly FIFO roles.Commencing in 2008, I worked at Cement Australia as a consultant. I worked in this capacity for 3 years before being invited to join the company in a permanent capacity, which I accepted and fulfilled for the following 4 years. I worked as People Development Manager with responsibility for leading the training and development program for the Supply Chain Division. This division incorporated transport, terminals and rail, shipping , supply chain safety and logistics.I was the first dedicated L&D team member to work in this division and I successfully promoted learning and development into the business including working on a number of projects that were innovative and progressive and that observed Adult Education principles in their delivery.
