Lead Tutor Responsibilities Include:-Call parents confirming contact information as well as info in regard to scheduling, transportation, etc.-Communicate Info to Regional Coordinator and Regional Director-Ensure that necessary materials for instruction are ready and available to all Jeffco tutors-Proctor Assessments-Grade Pre-Assessments and set Student Goals based on pre-assessment scores-Establish Student Goals and plan accordingly-Enjoy tutoring-Enter attendance, progress reports, benchmark and assessment scores, etc. to Mobile Minds Intranet-Ensure that all JEFFCO tutors are documenting their lesson plans and benchmark scores on the intranet-Update RC/RD on missing students and or tutors-Call parents of missing students

-Provided direct one-on-one instruction, primarily beginning reading, with students, K-10-Direct communication with parents, students and faculty-Encouraged recommended methods for learning -Provided relaxed environment for the student-Created lesson plans for one-on-one tutoring tailoring to the students individual needs-Instructed homeschool students utilizing established curriculum in various subject areas such as, reading, language arts, social studies, and history-Documented and relayed student progress to reading specialist, parents, students and faculty-Attended meetings at the learning lab and at local schools, with parents, faculty and staff in regard to students progress and meeting the needs of the student-Attended IEP (Individual Education Plan for students with disabilities) meetings with reading specialist at local private and public schools to maintain and ensure consistent teaching strategies to meet the needs of the individual student-Traveled to local private schools for direct one-on-one tutoring as well as maintaining communication with classroom teachers, parents, faculty and staff -Traveled to the students home when requested-Provided relaxed environment for the student -Utilized materials from Barton Reading and Phonological Awareness Kit acquired by the Learning Lab at Brentwood
