I have had two assignments to date both in the Urgent Care sector concentrating on ensuring the management structure of the service was fit for purpose and the environment it was operating in. I also ensured that the performance of the service adhered to the contractual requirements of the commissioners.During this time I was informed that I had been appointed by the CQC as a Specialist Advisor

Recruited to mobilise a transformational "social prescribing" service which became an award winning service which has had it tenure secured until 2021. Developed the service to provide an in-reach service to the discharge unit at Southampton University hospital. Part of the winning bidding team for a Primary Care Urgent service.

Recruited to this post during a period of massive growth of Harmoni which concluded in the company being acquired by Care UK in 2012. I had responsibility for the delivery of a variety of Urgent Care services. I provided strong and dependable leadership to teams enabling them to continue to provide quality service through long periods of change. I was successful in managing and implementing new services. The scale of my responsibility was reflected in a regional turnover of £20 million per annum and staffing numbers of around 700 employees plus several hundred contracted GP's

I was Operational Director throughout the development and reorganisation of the PCT's within Hampshire concluding with a position within Hampshire PCT. I had operational responsibility for strong strategic leadership ensuring that the 2,800 staff in community services provided high quality services sensitive to the needs of users in Adult and Children services within a £86 million resource allocation. I designed and implemented a structure which enabled the modernisation of Community Services to ensure a robust skilled workforce was able to deliver a quality service to the emerging national agenda and the qualitative and quantitive targets. I was able to begin the process of developing services to be able to flourish in the new environment of care delivery of quality services within a business framework

Established and Improved relationships of all Primary Care Contractors during a time of major organisational change with the dissolution of the FHSA. During this time I was seconded to the Commission of Health Improvement to be part of their development team for Primary Care Reviews.
