I served as a non-attorney representative for clients experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness. My duties also included developing data collection methods, monitoring outcomes, establishing and maintaining relationships with numerous stakeholders, training new SOAR Case Managers, providing consultation to other staff who need to learn about Social Security or Medicaid benefits, conducting multiple two-day SOAR trainings, and volunteering on the agency's Diversity Committee.

I consulted and worked on projects relating to continuous program improvement and the use of performance data. Engaged with relevant public policy stakeholders, monitored the state-level public policy process, and completed reports for the viewing of agency management and executives.

Supported individual adults and youth with traumatic brain injury in setting and working toward goals focused on increasing independence and qualify of life with an emphasis on the clients' rights to self-determination. Advocated for access to resources, educated family members and community members about traumatic brain injury, and collaborated with other treatment providers.

Internship position with the Topeka Moving Ahead Program (T-MAP), a job-readiness program for individuals experiencing homelessness. T-MAP is part of Kansas Legal Service's Employment Division. I worked as a case manager and classroom instructor with the goal of overcoming barriers to homelessness and unemployment.
