•12 month placement at Urban Outfitters (3rd year of degree course) •Allocator/MAA for Womens Accessories and Shoes•Ensured efficient and accurate allocation of stock to stores across the UK and Europe •Building and maintain strong relationships with the planners, buyers, web merchandising and branch merchandising through constant interaction and meetings•I made sure stock was in the right place at the right time through reviewing weekly store and best seller reports and then actioned transfers and backstock where necessary •Supporting and assisting the merchandiser through running daily and weekly reports including top sellers and new sellers so we could assess weekly reactions. I also worked on a range of seasonal history reports for my merchandiser to use in sign offs and various other meetings•Completed style, class, brand and store analysis for the buyers •Completed linecards/lineflows on a weekly basis to review key product lines•Attended weekly intake and trade meetings

Responsibilities: My role varied from working in a team of 5 serving 100 customers at 10 tables with a 5 course dinner and drinks to being a team leader where I had to organise and delegate tasks to my own team to deliver the required service on time in a high pressure environment. As team leader I had to lead by example and be polite and professional at all times.Skills Achieved: Confidence in working with people from different backgrounds; being able to maintain attention to detail when delivering an excellent a service to a tight deadline; leading and motivating a team.

Responsibilities/Role: Once a week for 18 months I was a volunteer youth counsellor for this young person’s helpline. I was a member of a team of 6 people that provided a helpline service for other young people by telephone, email and online chat.Skills Achieved: Youth2Youth developed my listening and social skills and the ability to empathise with people from many varied backgrounds
