Secondment from BBSRC to BIS Research Base (Research Funding Unit). Part-time 0.6 FTE.My work at BIS includes the policy areas of Open Access (see gov.uk link below) and Open Research Data. For the latter I am the secretariat for the Research Sector Transparency Board who's remit is to advise government on how to increase access to and sharing of reasearch data. Additionally I am part of the ESRC sponsor team.

I worked full time as a Peer Review Officer until November 2013 when I started a secondment to BIS. My role includes leading on the delivery of BBSRC's managed funding programmes and engaging with the bioscience community to promote BBSRC activities and schemes.

Short-term position. Data analysis and drafting publication post-PhD.

PhD student in the Ocean Biogeochemistry and Ecosystems research group based at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton.My research focused on the molecular identification of nutrient limitation in phytoplankton. I used both molecular and biophysical tools to investigate phytoplankton communities in the North Atlantic.
