About Anna Black

I am am a commercially endorsed RYA Ocean Yachtmaster and run a charter business with my husband on our Bowman 57 yacht, "Emily Morgan". We offer hosted charter in the Caribbean over the winter, returning to Plymouth each summer, taking guests across the Atlantic in between.Prior to following the call of the sea, I was an experienced Finance Director in a diverse range of industries, specializing in small to medium sized owner managed businesses. My ACMA accounting qualification was gained in 1993 whilst working for British Gas Wales in Cardiff but subsequently moved to Devon, where I have been ever since, working for a variety of businesses in the commercial and not for profit sectors. I have excellent technical accounting skills but my passion is getting beyond the raw numbers and using financial information to drive the business forward.In 2003 I gained an Enterprising MBA from the University of Plymouth to successfully broaden my management skills.
