I am a current sophomore at Harvard college pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Professionally, I worked as a course assistant for an introductory computer aided machine design course this semester. I have worked in costumer service for four years: as a waitress for nearly the entire duration, as a bartender for six months, and at a student grilling job on campus for the past year (this job is also ongoing). I also spent three months as a welding intern at The McCannic Shop in Evant, Texas.Project wise, I worked on a team to construct a robot tasked with placing tennis balls on a velcro wall for a competition. My team came in second place, and in the creation of this robot I used a manual lathe, a CNC mill, a drill press, a vertical band saw, a horizontal band saw, and soldering equipment. Additionally, during my time as a welding intern I worked on the construction of a angle iron pusher, with tire piece attachments for the front of an old truck, which was to be used as a more convenient way to move broke down vehicles small distances in the shop without having to use a tow truck or tow hitch. Finally, I have worked on the repair of a 1995 Chevy Cheyenne, a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500, and a 1973 El Camino. During my construction of the robot for my intro to mechanical engineering class, I became well versed in Solidworks CAD technology. I created a full CAD of the robot, and am certified in solidworks.
