I have now over 18 years of experience in the energy field. For the past 8 years, I have been in charge of the administrative management of a patent portfolio containing over 700 patent families.I am involved in the process from the receipt of the idea from the engineers/inventors to the drafting of the invention by the outside counsel (after internal assessment), and then finally, up to the filing of the patent application at the patent office.I then ensure the follow-up and management of French, European, and international procedure deadlines to patent issuances in coordination with the outside counsels (we currently work with 13 legal firms - French and international) and the inventors’ community (close to 300 inventors spread out over 30 sites worldwide).Involved in the set-up and follow-up of inventors’ awards in accordance with the Group Award Policy, I also support the teams with the portfolio valorization and I carry out periodical metrics reports (number of inventions, filings, and issuances).I am particularly satisfied with a couple of achievements, such as:- the implementation of a patent database and procedure follow-up tools- the creation of a procedure guide directed to the inventors’/engineers’ teamsThese actions significantly improved the management of the portfolio, increased rigor in the follow-up of procedure deadlines, optimized decision deadlines, and facilitated the communication with the teams and outside counsels.Intellectual property is an incredibly rich field of learning and I am now considering enlarging my knowledge towards trademarks, designs, and models.
