I collected existing data and information on sub-stations and their level of risk if a spill occurred. Myself and the URS employee surveyed existing sub-stations around Colorado that had a high risk for contamination and sub-stations without current data. After surveying we determined whether or not specific stations needed contingency plans in the overall oil spill plan using software called MOSES and by analyzing One-Line and AutoCAD drawings. My other project was focused in my specific line of Geotech Engineering. I was apart of a project at the Pawnee Power Plant that involved the creation of a porous dike for a lime slurry pond. I took soil samples at the site and analyzed results to determine a potential select granular fill for the construction of the dike. I was also involved in the construction meetings for this project.
