Conceptualize and produce original show ideas covering a diverse range of timely and news-driven topics for a live broadcast airing on 460 NPR stations. Some of those shows have been among 1A's most downloaded podcast episodes. I also help lead 1A's Remaking America collaboration exploring eroding trust in our democracy. I collaborate with six partner stations across the country to plan and host local community conversations that I edit to air nationally on NPR as part of the Remaking America series.

Was the first to spearhead and produce live community events to promote collaboration and trust between reporters and community members on topics related to water issues, agricultural pesticides, and the impact of “big ag” on small farms. I also reported feature stories relating to agriculture, the economy, and the environment that appeared in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Civil Eats, Harvest Public Media, and on the show Living on Earth. The fellowship was part of an engagement journalism initiative funded by Illinois Humanities in Chicago.
