I have over 20 years of experience in science education and research. I am passionate about inspiring young minds with the wonders of science and the joy of learning, and I use my effective communication and knowledge to deliver engaging and interactive lessons, as well as to mentor and coach students in their academic and personal development.I also draw on my extensive research background, having completed a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Otago and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Davis, to incorporate the latest scientific findings and methods into my teaching. I teach a range of subjects, including general science, biology and chemistry, to students from Year 9 to Year 13, and I am committed to fostering a culture of curiosity, inquiry, and excellence among my students, and to supporting them in achieving their full potential in science and beyond.
