Anna is a Psychologist, Play Therapist, and EMDRAA Accredited Consultant. They began their career working in the Out of Home Care system, providing family-based interventions for children and young people living with the effects of displacement and complex trauma. Since then, Anna has become a passionate supporter of the Neurodiversity Affirming Movement, which aims to increase self-determinism and well-being for people whose neurocognitive differences have traditionally been viewed as “disordered” in society. Anna frequently works alongside parents, carers, the child safety system, schools, and other stakeholders to provide collaborative care for Neurodivergent people and/or people who have experienced complex trauma. Anna has undertaken advanced training in EMDR Therapy and is actively involved in the EMDR community. Their current research relates to integrating Neurodiversity-Affirming frameworks into trauma therapy with Autistic and/or ADHD clients.
