Responsible for the overall management of The Women's Home whose mission is to build communities that strengthen women and support families as they reclaim their stability. The Women's Home builds a strong community by building strong lives. • Primary Executive Leader for TWH, leading the organization through a strategic evolution and charting a new future for the 65-year-old agency to ensure its ongoing relevance and impact. Annual operating budget of $8 million (FY 2022) and 64 staff members across six sites with assets of $62 million. • Transformed the financial picture for the organization going from a significant deficit to a large surplus in four years through prudent fiscal management, while implementing new programming and increasing the annual operating budget by 40%. • Cultivated a strong executive and management teams that stabilized the organization and significantly improved morale, program delivery, and quality of services. • Developed and lead Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives for TWH and the Network for Behavioral Health Providers (NBHP) leading to anti-racism policies and programming for staff, clients and board members.

• Acted as the primary leader for the organization during transformative change, providing the vision and leadership for a new mission while developing highly effective programs and increasing staffing from 1 to 14 in a period of 5 years. • Quadrupled the annual operating budget in 4 years and built a diversified fund development strategy, including charitable foundation support, fund development events, individual giving, government grants and fee for service programs to consistently meet and exceed annual operating budget during challenging economic circumstances. • Cultivated a strong board of directors by diversifying members and forming a pipeline to board service through two advisory councils. • Crafted key messages and directed extensive media outreach, including press conferences, public service announcements, statewide media tours, and feature stories resulting in more than 100 media hits annually in 30 markets across Texas. Created an online presence comprised of a website, strong social media, and search engine optimization. • Developed a highly successful program to raise immunization rates in 15 community clinics, resulting in sustained improvements with increases up to 50 percentage points through the implementation of best practices. • Fostered relationships with community partners across Texas by building and supporting 6 coalitions in key markets statewide. Hosted the biennial Texas Immunization Summit from 2006 to 2014, providing continuing education at the conference to over 500 statewide stakeholders. • Drafted and supported the passage of 15 pieces of key public health legislation in the state Legislature by publishing white papers, organizing stakeholder meetings and providing regular written and oral testimony to the Texas Legislature. • Highly skilled public speaker, frequent presenter at scientific and policy conferences, and guest lecturer at the University of Houston Law Center.

• Interpreted and analyzed federal and state statutes related to privacy of electronic health information, research, immunizations and public health. Advise physicians and local public health officials about relevant regulations and develop programmatic goals to accomplish compliance. • Reviewed and amended confidentiality policies, MOUs, access request forms, business associate agreements and consent forms as necessary to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. Managed resources and developed policies for collaborative community projects. • Built relationships with public health leaders and with private sector leaders engaged in children’s health care. Advised stakeholders on legislative agenda items related to immunization laws for the Texas Legislature. Provided leadership and oversight for twelve FTEs engaged in public health & policy research, health education and implementation of a regional immunization registry.
