I provide strategic analytics advice to our health sector clients, across activity based funding, digital health, outcome and performance measurement and improvement, and service use forecasting.I help our clients:- understand the impact of COVID-19 on health services- deepen their business intelligence- predict future service needs and costs- use linked data to measure health outcomes- understand and evaluate health service funding- identify groups who will benefit from interventions or marketing.

I managed the Reporting and Analytics team in the Cancer Screening and Prevention Division, providing business intelligence and analytics for the BreastScreen NSW, the NSW Cervical Screening Program, and skin cancer prevention and smoking cessation programs. The team is responsible for a wide range of data and analytics work, including:- Complex statistical analysis and data linkage and mining projects that inform and evaluate policy and program cancer screening marketing strategies- Performance monitoring and service planning for the screening programs- Development of new analytics and interactive reporting systems- BAU data management and governance activities

My focus was implementation of Activity Based Funding, including:- Funding allocation for the National Health Funding Pool,- Classification system evaluation,- Costing for the private hospital costs data collection.My other projects have included large-scale data linkage and modelling of cost drivers and target populations across government services to inform policy decisions. In particular, one project linked disability services with inpatient hospital and emergency department data to understand hospital service use by people with a disability.
