Cache warming is a breadth heavy project and an product differentiator as compared to AWS Elasticache. With this feature, across our fleet, we can recycle our data plane nodes for compliance, security, patching, scaling up or down, engine upgrade with 0 impact on customers w.r.t performance or availability in an automated fashion. From developing in GoLang and Temporal (~2500 lines of code across ~22 files), leveraging components of Cache dumper in C/C++, extensive unit testing (85% coverage), E2E integration testing, stress testing, benchmarking the performance and testing for edge scenarios, Anna showcased extreme leadership and ownership capabilities and delivered a working end-to-end feature, 2 weeks ahead of timeline. Anna required very little hand-holding through the project, worked tirelessly with 4 different component owners and showcased extreme passion to deliver the feature with high quality.
