Responsible to the Board of Directors, Anna has held overall responsibility for all aspects of the Orchestra’s operation, particularly for: strategic development; grants, fundraising and income generation; marketing and audience development; venue relationships; maintaining a network of influencers; recruitment, training and management of staff and personnel, including significant changes in structure; and enabling artistic and operational development. In so doing she has enabled: a substantial uplift in the Orchestra’s grant funding and revenue (including a signigicant extraordinary ACE G4A award); overseen the baton handover of Principal Conductor; established a significant programme of education and outreach delivery; initiated an Associate Composer and Conductor Development programme; and implemented significant staff and structure changes, all with a view to positioning Milton Keynes and its Orchestra on the cultural map, locally, regionally, nationally. Anna took a period of eight months maternity leave in 2008, returning to the role part time in 2009. Having started with an initially blank canvas, I created and headed up a small department, working closely with producers, promoters and artists; local, regional and national organisations; individuals, education organisations, community groups and business representatives; and colleagues - to provide the widest possible access to the Theatre. Also, devising and delivery of training on Disability Awareness issues both in Milton Keynes and within the ATG group. This was initially a full-time position. Duties encompassed all aspects of the management of a small scale receiving theatre venue: specific responsibility for managing the venue’s finances and the box office database on a day to day basis, including the preparation of management accounts; for children’s theatre; and for Duty Management at events.

Other previous experiences include duty management and venue front of house positions at Mumford Theatre, Cambridge Corn Exchange, Derngate Theatre; project management with the Royal Opera House & South Cambridgeshire District Council; university concert management; experiences with Mackintosh Productions, Really Useful Group, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Colchester Arts Centre and others.
