Responsible for implementing the SNAP outreach program through the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee’s mission and vision to end hunger. This position will work with mobile food pantries, agencies and within communities to identify and assist potential clients with the SNAP application process. The SNAP Outreach Field Coordinator will cultivate relationships with community partners to build awareness and understanding for the program.

- Designs and plans comprehensive interactive nutrition education programming for kids and that highlight the health benefits of eating fresh, healthy foods as well as education specific to locally grownproduce and agriculture- Implements nutrition education programs and activities at Red Stick Farmers Market sites both during the week and on Saturdays- Assists BREADA staff in implementing Farm to School Programming including executing hands-on cooking classes and working with edible gardens at partner elementary schools- Updates and maintains Sprouts kids club database and assist with additional metrics anddate tracking

- Plans a collaborative fundraising event between LSU and Ole Miss to provide meals for both communities. - Oversees, manages, and helps develop all volunteer projects, including multi-week mission trips.- Runs administration for the program which includes managing a multi-faceted database and managing communication for the 1,000-person organization.- Collaborates with a team to organize LSU Homecoming 2022.- Plans interactive events around campus to increase involvement on a campus with over 35,000 students.

- Serves the Board made up of professors, LSU employees, and professionals.- Monitors pantry use and advocates for adjustments to the pantry’s operation based on data trends.- Leads quarterly meetings with the board to discuss new partnerships, user updates, and food drives.

- Stocked food, checked for spoilage, and maintained a clean environment daily in the food pantry. - Packed orders for new and returning student users and led volunteer opportunities in the pantry. - Informed the public on food pantry policies and the affect food insecurity has on college students through in person communication and through LSU's engagement platform.
