A Lot Like You Project

As an assistant to filmmaker Eli Kimaro, I help create digital engagement and outreach plans to bring the social issue documentary 'A Lot Like You' into community spaces (nonprofits, schools) locally, after premiering at film festivals domestically and internationally. -Social Media Platforms: Twitter/Facebook/Hootsuite/Blog. Researching, developing, and maintaining content. -Curriculum Writing and Editing: Assist with developing an educational companion curriculum for use in schools and community organizations. Themes deal with topics of race and class, cultural relativism, gender violence, and identity. -Community Engagement: I established connections with partner organizations for collaboration on curriculum development or for use of the film in local organizations/schools.
