As an MES (Membership Experience Supervisor), I am building relationships as well as strategic relationships everyday. I am also building relationships with those who need financial assistance. Our mission, the YMCAs, reflects how I feel about our community and those that need our assistance...whether it be financial, direction to meet their goals, motivation, or just a friendly smile. I continue to learn and grow in the Membership Department.

As Program Director, I managed all aquatic programs and increased retention. I audited the Aquatic Departments for the Metro Chicago YMCA Association. Served on the Metro Chicago YMCA Association Aquatic Product cabinet. Served as Chair for Aquatic Procedures and Policies and Swim Team Committee for Metro Chicago YMCA. I was responsible for the Aquatics Department, Swim Team Department and Youth & Family Department at my facility. I held monthly in-services for all staff, supervised, scheduled and reviewed performance as well. I developed and monitored budgets for all departments. Ensured the pool was maintained and running properly as the Pool Operator on Location. As Program Director, I was also responsible for scheduling rentals and completed Facility Use Agreements with Certificates of Insurance. I acted as the Resident Camp Ambassador and Volunteer Coordinator for my facility meeting yearly goals. As the Campaign Committee Chair for our Annual Campaign, I played a key role in securing 100% staff donations in my departments as well as securing community banner sponsors. In addition, I instructed water fitness classes, swim lessons, lifeguarding, karate, and land group exercise as needed. I continued to meet the needs of our members through positive customer service.

While working as the Health & Wellness Director/Wellness Coach, I created new classes and increased land group exercise classes by 33%. I supervised, scheduled, and reviewed performance for all staff. All certifications were maintained and up to date. In addition, I created and coordinated special events...5K Run for Strong Kids, Indoor Tri-Meet, and the Motorcycle Run for Strong Kids... all fundraisers for our Annual Campaign. I assisted in securing staff donations for the Annual Campaign. In addition, I instructed land group exercise classes and personal training. I continued to meet the needs of our members through positive customer service.

While Chief Instructor and Owner of Antioch Shotokan Karate & Fitness, I created new and innovative classes for all karate students and fitness participants. I supervised, scheduled, and mentored all student volunteer instructors. I increased retention from 35 students to 150. I instructed karate and fitness classes for ages 3 years old and up for over 18 years... guiding my students and leading them to have confidence, gain self esteem, and positively influencing them in their every day lives. By using my marketing skills, I increased retention and membership by 150%. Family oriented special events including camp outs, Relay for Life, team events, local, district, regional, national, international, and world competitions. Fundraised for all events. Produced local, district, regional, national, international, and world champions. I continued to meet the needs of my students through positive customer service.
