As a case manager, I assist out of school youth age 16-24, who qualify for our program by being homeless, a dropout, pregnant or parenting, offender status, an individual with disabilities, in or from foster care, or deficient in basic literacy skills, with their educational goals and career planning. Some services offered by Youth CAN include but are not limited to linkage to resources in the community, tutoring, workshops, paid work experience, financial assistance with educational or career related expenses, job search, and supportive services as deemed necessary to remove barriers in our participant’s lives.

- Hire and supervise all youth programs’ staff with the full responsibility of the programs (Youth CAN WIOA program, Opportunity NOW through the Nashville Mayor’s office, and Rutherford Works through the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce). Recruit, train, develop, evaluate, and motivate staff based on current contracts. - Implement program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with existing regulations and guidelines as issued by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and Mid Cumberland Human Resource Agency. - Ensure that all documentation required for program compliance, including expenditure requests from all direct staff, is complete and accurate. - Attend training sessions and conferences and sit on local boards and committees to remain current on program regulations, youth issues, etc. Attend meetings within the community to represent the program and to develop external contacts. - Interact with employers, local, and regional Workforce Development entities and officials, school officials, 12 direct staff, and the public, as well as multiple program participants. Develop and deliver effective presentations to large groups, students, etc. - Participate in budget development and administration in coordination with Leadership. Lead all local fundraising efforts.Write and maintain approximately 15 grants. - Manage a caseload of youth (ages 16-24 and meeting qualifying criteria) that are attempting to enter the workforce, develop interviewing and job search skills, find educational and training opportunities, etc. Uphold a 90% success rate of transitioning clients to post-secondary or the workforce and follow up with participants for 12 months, as outlined by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.

As a Campus Campaign Coordinator, part of the Teach for America's recruitment team, I am responsible for building awareness of educational inequity and Teach For America’s work on North Carolina State University's campus. I've worked to develop and execute a detailed strategic plan aimed at inspiring top students to apply for the corps. As an Intern at the Rape Crisis Center, my responsibilities were to provide supportive counseling and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault, serve as a hospital responder for survivors seeking medical attention and legal aid, and co-facilitate topic-based support groups. I also assisted with community outreach events as well as the planning and executing of special summer programs for children and youth survivors.

As a Sales Associate I dealt directly with customers, providing quality information about all products while running a cash register, being friendly, problem solving, and increasing sales by offering additional products.
