I was Lead Designer for over two years, creating content for the technology society, “R. U. Hacking?”, at the University of Reading. This included social media posts, advertising materials, such as posters and leaflets, and official documents, like their prospectus. I began by successfully rebranding the society, including a new logo, colour scheme.

I single-handedly designed and produced their published book, ‘Celebrating 100 Years of Women’s Voices’. I designed the interior layouts and typeset the book, as well as the front and back covers. I used only typefaces created by women to fit the theme of the book: influential and powerful women in the journey towards the improvement of women’s rights.

I took part in the HMP Huntercombe’s mental health awareness project, where I was able to hold focus groups and interview inmates on what they know how they feel about the facilities available to them. I then designed an informational poster to teach the inmates on how to spot someone struggling and how to give them advice.

In 2019, the Department of Botanical Sciences at Reading was running a project called ‘Ornamental plants: Our future invaders?’, and their research and findings were to be displayed at the Chelsea Flower Show. I was a part of the team asked to join the project and help design the display boards and leaflets for the show. Our team was awarded the Gold Medal.
