I took up my position at Airbus in October 2011. I was responsible for all export control activities that took place at Airbus in the UK. I was the Airbus representative on the AIRBUS Group UK Export Compliance Committee (UKECC) and was the Airbus Transnational Export Control liaison with OCCAR (Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en matière d'Armement) for A400M marketing export licensing activities. I was also a member of the AIRBUS Group Export Control Office (GECO) Centre of Competences (CoC) for International Countries and the AIRBUS Group Export Control Compliance Manual.

In 2005, I joined L-3 Communications, TRL Technology as International Trade Compliance Manager and built up a team of four full-time employees undertaking such tasks as Private Venture (PV) Security Grading, Security Movement Plans, F680 management, Export Licenses management (SIEL, OIEL, OGEL etc.), Rating Enquiries, Despatch Approvals, Customs (IPR, OPR, HTC), General Awareness & in-depth training, US Export & Re-export approvals (TAA, MLA, GC, DSP, BIS), Bid Reviews, Letters of Credit & Carnets – liaising with UK Export Control Organisation (ECO), Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC), UK Ministry of Defence (UK MoD) and other defence organisations outside of the UK. During her last 18 months at TRL she was also responsible for three contract workers who were tasked with analysing all parts included in BoMs to establish and record information relevant to HMRC, Export Compliance (UK and overseas), ReaCH and RoHS.I implemented a full set of International Trade Compliance policies and procedures as part of the QMS and wrote informative notes and instructions published on the intranet.
