As a Senior Marketing major at Cedarville University, I am eager to strengthen my business and marketing skills while gaining real world experience. I love collaborating with others to solve problems and achieve goals. I am eager to help others and impact the world around me in anyway that I can. In my role as Director of Internal Involvement for Women in Business, my team and I put together a Christmas Celebration for the entire school of Business at Cedarville. It was not an easy task, but thanks for our great team leader, we were able to pull off a great celebration for everyone. Organizing all the little details was a lot more time consuming and tedious than I realized. Figuring out photographers, meal options, the venue, and volunteers took a lot of work, but it was so worth it to see the end result. Working on this Christmas party taught me how important teamwork is in order to succeed. We needed each and every member of our 5 person team to stay on task and communicate well with each other. We learned how to work well together so that we could accomplish our goals. Through this I learned how critical having a good team is in order to succeed at whatever goal or task I need to accomplish. This inspires me to be a good leader that listens to their team and helps them reach their goals by encouraging them and giving them the resources they need to thrive.
