During the last 25 years, I have focused on luxury residential and hospitality design, spending equal time designing luxury estates and master planning hotels and resorts. Working on the concept for a new design, each project becomes a journey that you create for guests to enjoy and experience. The story of the place is told through materials, shapes, textures, forms, and views. The best destinations create drama by highlighting the natural environment and provide inviting spaces in the landscape to surprise and delight guests. I have worked on Four Seasons, Banyan Tree, Ritz Carlton, JW Marriot, Mandarin Oriental, and Hilton projects, as well as other boutique and private operators. It is a challenge and a pleasure designing for different cultures with different lifestyles preferences and unique architectural precedents. I have worked on five continents with projects in California, Hawaii, Mexico, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Croatia, Morocco, Mauritius, Brazil, Bahrain, Qatar, India, and the Caribbean.I began my career specializing in multi-million dollar private landscape design and construction. I commissioned sculpture, designed custom metalwork, and took part in all aspects of project management and design. I spent four years designing the Assembly House Private Residence in Hawaii and oversaw a major campus renovation at the University of California at Berkeley. From here, I focused on international resort design, working out of San Francisco and London. During the Great Recession from 2007-2013, I designed 30 international projects. Now back in the United States, I have returned my focus on private, high-end, well crafted, exceptional residential design, while also working on select hotel, resort community, and hospitality projects.
