I have most recently moved back to Scotland after living in London working in a top advertising agency called VCCP. During my year working with this company, I was entrusted quickly in a very client facing role. This meant that I, along with my team were expected to be highly presentable every day, ensuring we were punctual, and personable. Coming from a small town in Scotland the move to London was a huge step in my life. I am a very motivated individual and was looking for a change in career path from my several years in hospitality as I had made it up to management at a very young age and there wasn’t more room for progression. After my years of hard work and dedication, I demonstrated I have excelled client facing skills and the ability to multitask in a high paced environment. This means I was moved from my role as Front of house coordinator, which mainly involved the organisation of client meetings and working with the office support department to ensure everything worked well within the building to reception. This was still during my probationary period which was an excellent sign for my progression opportunities within the company. Moving onto full-time reception cover I was able to interact with a wide variety of departments and people within the company. I learned how the company communicated between departments and the needs of each client. I worked closely with new Business which I loved and had hoped to become part of one day. They were in charge of new client pitches, which I loved and was a key part of selling our company as the best option for any future clients. I created great working relationships with many new people and friendships I will keep forever. Sadly, due to COVID-19 and the uncertainty of future employment I made the hard decision to move back to Scotland as I had a new job offer to manage a high-end Cocktail bar which fell through as the bar cannot open. Sadly, since then I have been unable to work and am looking for a secure future career I can through myself into fully with progression prospects and hopefully more sociable hours than hospitality holds.
