This position was part of the 'Inspiring Minds' Programme with local school children from aged 13 to 16 years old. As part of a team, we organised and ran sessions concerning higher education opportunities and various pathways for differing career routes. As part of a team, we organised and ran sessions concerning higher education opportunities and various pathways for differing career routes. Additionally, there were skilled-based sessions, concerning topics such as critical thinking and teamwork. Another essential feature of this position was to answer any relevant questions concerning university life, including; degree structures, examples of assessed work and the range of societies offered. The sessions were organised to have between two and four tasks within that week’s theme. After each activity, feedback on the students’ thoughts were discussed by the group, and any questions answered. This was a paid role. Show less
