Part-time nanny while attending school at Oregon State University for two youths. One boy, in fourth grade and the girl in seventh grade. It was an experience to watch them grow and learn in front of my eyes and to be a part that significant sight. I picked them up from school, assisted them with their homework (making sure they got it done, helped if they needed it, and checked it over to make sure it was correct). They had such different personalities that challenged me occasionally and taught me different lessons such as discipline, study habits, etc.

The atmosphere of this job was great, they taught us teamwork and about the Adidas Brand in creative ways. I worked at the Adidas Corporate Employee Store during the summers full time, and while at school part-time (driving home once or twice a month on weekends to work). Assisted customers in finding apparel, shoes and sporting goods suitable for themselves and whoever they were shopping for. I worked in the stock room working on inventory, shipping, and organization. Helped with product display and store layouts as well. This job gave me the whole retail experience by having me work in all the different areas of the store.

For a couple Summers, when I would come home from OSU, I would work at the academy helping out. Taught young girls the fundamental skills of basketball- dribbling, shooting, defense, and conditioning. I organized and coordinated drills to develop those skills in different atmospheres. I joined in the work outs and corrected and encouraged the athletes to understand the game. This academy is about inspiring these girls to be encouraging and disciplined at the same time-to work as a team.

Corvallis, Oregon Area

I did the coaching while I was a student at Oregon State University. The first year, I volunteered as the Freshman Assistant Coach and after that season I was asked to become a part of the team for next year as the JV Assistant coach. It consisted of listening to the head coach and putting input into how the practices should flow and what the schedule would look like. I encouraged and mentored the players on what a team should be like and how to work as 'one' with each other.
