• Provide long-term assistance (December 2016-April 2017) in three Freshman English classes at Petaluma High School in which the majority of daily responsibilities include that of a full time high school teacher.• Provide day-to-day assistance in K-12 classrooms of varying subjects across Sonoma County.

• Designed and implemented English Oral Communication and Grammar lessons for a high academic secondary school (960 students) and a low academic rural school (80 students).• Supported Japanese Teachers of English (JTEs) in grammar instruction concerns and curriculum design.• Co-developed and graded a weekly essay writing initiative for students with the Head of the English department that significantly increased first and second year students’ exam scores in writing skills for the Hiroshima Prefecture Global Test for English Communication (GTEC). • Regularly assessed and directed first and second year students during and after school hours to prepare for multiple school-wide English recitation competitions and for study abroad programs. • Lead the English Speaking Society (ESS) club after hours, twice a week, wherein students practiced written and oral English skills juxtaposed within foreign cultural experiences—such as discovering and discussing food, music, and film.
