During my second semester as a Team Leader, I will be collaborating with a business professional from the triad to teach a large group of students. As a Squad Leader, I also lead a group of Team Leaders to make sure they are fully confident in their skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

While working for Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe, I helped with the ideation and creation of social media posts and designs used around the park. I collaborated with the two other interns to increase Wet ‘n Wild’s Tik Tok and Instagram engagement. I also interacted with guests by welcoming them as they came in and playing games with kids around the park for prizes. I helped set up and overlook our biggest events of the summer and made sure that Wet ‘n Wild’s 40th birthday was a blast!

Working at The Three Little Birds helped me develop sales strategies to promote the larger products such as furniture. I also learned about product placement and how to manage a retail business. I grew relationships with the people in my town as the store is on Main Street and we had a lot of loyal customers. I also watched my managers who were partners in owning the retail store I worked at as well as a wine bar down the street. They taught me how to effectively manage a lot of moving parts and make decisions for the better of the company.

During my second year at UNC Greensboro, I co-instructed a large class of mostly freshman students. We taught lessons on personal development such as finding your strengths and weaknesses, networking, and how to work with a team. I helped in teaching the class and grading, I was the student’s first point of contact for any questions they had about UNCG.

As a Barista at Delicious Bakery, I learned a lot of time management and customer relationship management skills. I interacted with guests by serving them the in-house espresso and pastries as well as helping customers place an order for their ideal cake. This allowed me to be creative as well as learn patience and communication skills.

While working at Firehouse Subs, I managed the night staff which consisted of around 15 employees. It was my responsibility to watch over the store, take inventory, and made sure we were productive. I also served customers and kept the store clean.
