--> Supported the lead optimization of a hit to a clinical candidate over the span of 14 months.--> Synthesized and submitted ~350 compounds over the span of the lead optimization campaign.--> Designed small molecule targets based largely on in-vitro data and computational platforms to improve potency, solubility, half-life, bioavailability, drug-drug interactions, and off-target toxicology, giving an optimized human-dose-projection and safety profile.--> Collaborated with biochemists and structural biologists to improve on-target and cellular potency, DMPK and toxicology scientists to improve clearance, volume of distribution, half-life, bioavailability, various DDI liabilities such as Cyp2C9 inhibition and Cyp3A4 induction, and hERG potency.--> Worked closely with computational chemists and implemented tools such as LiveDesign and other phyisics-based and ML models to triage design ideas focused on addressing key parameters listed above.--> Collaborated with CROs, communicating with up to 17 FTEs, providing feedback on synthetic routes, and coordinating with FFS CRO to deliver material to supply internal and external FTE synthetic efforts.--> Presented internally at project meetings and select company-wide gatherings.
