Hello! My name is Anna and I am currently a senior undergraduate student at Appalachian State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Natural Science as well as a minor in Biology. I am also fulfilling the requirements for both the university and departmental honors programs. My main academic interests relate to the fields of neuroscience and psychology; I am a currently a research assistant in a neuroscience lab, where I am writing an honors thesis advised by Dr. Mark Zrull. The research for my thesis will focus on the role of the Entorhinal Cortex in representing space within the brain, which will be done by comparing neural activity in adolescent rats assigned to groups with varying levels of environmental enrichment. I will be defending this thesis in December 2024.
