The Executive Officer (EO) role within the DCEO Office of the First Nations group oversees project management, strategic advice provision and support services to the DCEO First Nations and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Responsibilities include coordinating and analysing various documentation such as correspondence, reports, risk assessments, and program documentation, as well as assisting in strategic projects and executive-led procurement or recruitment efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of organisational functions to provide high-level advice to senior management, the ELT, NDIA Board, and Ministers, aligning with the NDIA's objective of establishing a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme. The EO plays a key role in influencing and developing strategies, policies, priorities, and operational practices, while also cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the EO represents and negotiates on behalf of the NDIA in cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional, and other forums to advance the organisation's interests.The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. The Executive Officer works in the CEO Office and coordinates high level CEO projects, briefing and stakeholder relations.
