Senior Copywriter
CurrentI joined OLIVER to work for the company’s luxury alcohol client: Diageo. It’s my role as a senior member of the team to pitch, develop, write, edit and sub-edit strategic content for websites, microsites, banners, newsletters, emails, social posts and sales collateral across several iconic brands, including Smirnoff, Guinness and Gordon’s. The client-facing role involves me crafting content calendars for web/CRM in line with broader strategic approaches and identifying areas of authority and relevance before presenting this work to the client. As well as this, I work closely with the social team to brainstorm social content, as well as creating it myself. For a recent Smirnoff recipe Instagram series, I interviewed members of the public on camera, wrote scripts and recorded my own voiceovers for the campaign.As well as Diageo, I have also been working for Barclays. Knowing of my skills and experience working on social media campaigns, I was brought on to develop, pitch and create attention-grabbing yet valuable posts for Instagram and TikTok.I am the line manager for two employees but have also played the part of mentor for a number of the junior members of the team.
