As an Education and Animal Care Intern for Seal Rescue Ireland, my duties range from giving educational talks and tours of our center, engaging in the daily care of the seals, and coordinating seal rescues through our 24-hour rescue hotline. When giving tours of the center, each begins with a 15 minute educational talk about seals and the threats they face.

As a Teaching Assistant for Intro to Outdoor Recreation, I am in charge of helping facilitate the activities that the class does. This includes but is not limited to climbing, canoeing, and hiking. As a Climbing Wall Attendant (CWA), it is my job to keep all patrons of the climbing wall safe and comfortable. I do this by belaying climbers, giving auto-belay orientations, maintaining gear, and helping people as the arrive to the wall. I assist with discussions in class, and monitor discussion boards outside of class. I also host office hours every week to give individualized help to those who seek it out.

As a ranger, I will assist in the maintenance of the trails systems and monitoring of wilderness use in order to ensure the wellbeing of both the ecosystem and people. My project is working with Centre for Sustainability PH and a student from Western Palawan University to explore the barriers and opportunities to directly funding conservation initiatives led by Indigenous Peoples and Local.

As a residential camp counselor, I lived and worked with a group of 5-8 campers per week. I ensured the safety and well-being of these campers, facilitated all camp activities for them, and helped them with our other daily routines.
