- Serve as one of the the firms Education and Family Strengthening Program Area content knowledge experts -Developed and manage a strategic Education portfolio of grantees focused on Early Childhood, K-5 School Success and Youth Development to improve educational outcomes for students furthest from opportunity - Oversee a College Access & Success portfolio with the goal of ensuring at-promise youth have the support needed to get to and through college -Support capacity building and cross-sector collaboration to advance the fields of education and family strengthening -Serve as a thought-partner to field leaders, community stakeholders and philanthropic colleagues to work toward shared goals and outcomes

-Support the strategic implementation of the Foundation's complementary, placed-based grantmaking strategy.-Possess a thorough knowledge of the Foundation's program areas with specific expertise in the Families & Communities and Education priorities and guidelines. -Provide day-to-day management of relationships with applicants and grantees throughout the proposal process and grant cycle, including responding to routine phone and written inquiries about program area guidelines and reporting requirements. -Perform due diligence on organizations and grant proposal. -Monitor and assess awarded grants in the Foundation's Families & Communities and Opportunity program areas. -Coordinate leadership development programs for the Board of Directors, staff and grantees including board retreats, grantee convening, stakeholder meetings and site visits. -Develop and run routine database reports including end-of year grant payouts and evaluation data analysis. -Train and mentor the program assistant to ensure a streamlined workflow for both the program staff and grantees. - Manage the Foundation's website.

-Provide grantees with support and technical assistance throughout the proposal process and cycle of a grant. -Draft and execute grant-related documents and correspondence, including award documents, memos, reports, and dockets. -Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Foundation's grants database to adhere to internal policies and procedures, audit and legal requirements. -Work with external auditors to verify grant commitments and payments. -Coordinate site visits and other Foundation events. -Create and maintain vendor relations and logistics.

-Managed the Foundation's Scholarship Program which yearly distributed 10 awards totaling over $40,000 to students in Santa Cruz County. -Lead the scholarship review committee and program evaluation process. -Recruited and vetted highly qualified scholarship applicants. -Developed a scholarship applicant ranking evaluation matrix based on each scholarships guidelines. -Represented the Foundation at community events and stakeholder meetings. -Made presentations about the Foundation and the Scholarship program at high schools and youth development organizations.
