• Leadership in creating and implementing energy policy as well as climate and environment policy in Poland (including strategy, projects, source of financing, evaluation schemes, legislation); responsibility for energy security, including security of supply and resilience• Responsibility for nuclear program development in Poland- legislation, financial scheme, building public acceptance through campaigns and educational projects (result- 90 % of support in Poland for nuclear energy), supervising the first nuclear project in Poland and preparation works to the selection of the second site, issuing environmental decision to the nuclear power plant, issuing the decision- in- principle for nuclear projects in Poland • Supervising Atomic Energy Agency in Poland• Supervising the operations of the radioactive waste repository in Poland, managing the project of building the second repository site• Supervising the National Centre for Nuclear Research (the largest research institute in Poland with active Maria Research Reactor)• Representing Poland at EU and in front of international organizations- e.g. EU Environment and Energy Councils, International Atomic Energy Agency, Nuclear Energy Agency, International Energy Agency; participation in COPs- negotiations, interventions, speeches• Preparing the hydrogen strategy for Poland • Leading international bilateral cooperation with governments • Collaborating with numerous actors such as local communities, financial institutions, NGOs, trade unions, enterprises• Supervising projects- large scale energy project e.g. nuclear power plant, cross- border gas pipe connections• Creating programs of financial support for energy efficiency and renewable development for households, local authorities and institutions (large scale long term programs); result 1.2 mln of individual users of solar energy • Ministry’s budget management including carbon budgets and the EU Emissions Trading Scheme in Poland
