PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering focused on researching Atmospheric Microplastics Pollution. This project is focused on examining the main methods used to sample atmospheric microplastics and their global extent. Through lab studies and field campaigns in Scotland and Europe, it is hoped this project can improve the way in which research in this emerging field is conducted. These campaigns also aim to highlight the types of plastics prevalent in the air we breathe, and the concentrations we are exposed to. This position is being funded by the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Research Excellence Award (REA) Studentship.
