Organizations hire ThinkingEval for my ability to lead internal evaluation capacity building efforts and to guide the reflection, learning and accountability activities for grant-funded projects. Thinking Eval builds, guides and provides technical assistance regarding evaluation throughout your agency. I lead a process to create shared language, intention.

I manage the evaluation practices for over a dozen social service programs, serving 16,000 refugees and immigrants a year. I wrangle with seven different databases, over 50 grants and their reporting requirements and a multicultural staff with varying levels of interest and skill in evaluation. This work is engaging and dynamic, as it calls me to develop.

Worked in collaboration with HPWDS employees to develop a development indicator survey in a pictorial format for evaluation of HPWDS’s micro-credit programs; Trained and prepared staff for piloting the tool; Helped build general evaluative infrastructure for the organization, assisted with grant writing and strategic planning as requested.Rural, Southern.

MSW practicum site at a contract social service research and evaluation firm; Collected data via surveys, interviews, observation and focus groups; Created tables in Excel, SPSS and Word; Drafted interview, survey and focus group scripts; Analyzed and reported on qualitative data via written reports and PowerPoint presentations.

Administered state family welfare program through managing an assigned caseload of recipients; Primarily identified and addressed barriers to employment (chemical dependency, homelessness, domestic violence, special health needs, education, etc.); Taught basic job skills; Ensured adherence to program rules.

BSW practicum site at an agency wholly dedicated to the successful integration and advancement of immigrants; Identified and met the social service needs of a large caseload of refugees from Eastern Africa, Laos and Burma; Ensured federal refugee guidelines were met as stated in the Institute’s contract.

Appointed by evaluation professor to serve as a student liaison, adding a student voice to the review process and policy writing; Later, hired to develop and provide recommendations for roll-out of a college-wide IRB protocol and to actively participate in the writing and editing of said policy.

Designed day camp curriculum and structure, trained and managed staff for a 10-week, full-day program for children ages 5–14; Responsible for children’s safety, communication with the parents and all disciplinary issues
