I work as an air quality consultant with over 10 years’ experience in environmental consultancy, gaining a range of sector experience including property development, transportation, landfill remediation, energy, industry and highway schemes. In support of planning applications, I have carried out a range of air quality assessments for both Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and stand-alone reports, always meeting the deadlines allocated. I am proficient in the use of ADMS Roads, ADMS v5 and AERMOD detailed dispersion modelling software and the use of methodologies outlined in DMRB. I also have strong GIS skills and have recently started to dabble with the programmimng language R (through the openair package). I have provided advice and input for environmental constraint studies and due diligence reports to help identify any potential air quality issues at an early stage. I have experience of undertaking odour assessments to determine the likely effect of existing industrial processes on proposed development sites.I am also well practiced in ambient air quality monitoring using real-time and passive monitoring equipment for a wide range of pollutants and have undertaken numerous dust deposition monitoring programmes.
