I am a Senior Specialist Mammographer/Radiographer, I have worked in the private healthcare sector for 20 years at Spire Healthcare and Circle Health. My day to day work involves all general radiography as well as mammography screening and one stop clinics with lead skills in stereotactic biopsies. Additionally, I undertake mentoring radiography and mammography students. My competencies are with Siemens Inspiration and Hologic Dimensions mammography equipment. Responsible for mammography Quality Assurance and Clinical Audit.Recently I completed a course in Administering Intravenous Injections at the University of Hertfordshire. This skill will enable me to partake in contrast enhanced mammography increasing my scope of practice and also the services provided by my employer.I have an interest in health generally, in particular how lifestyle and psychological factors influence well-being and the outcome of disease.Prior to my career as a radiographer I worked in Office Administration in the City of London and for Hoffman-La Roche Pharmaceuticals so my experience is varied and broad ranging.
