Pee Dee Outfitters is a smaller retail store that is locally owned in my hometown of Cheraw, South Carolina, but has recently branched out into two other locations. The first location was Newberry, South Carolina and the most recent location was Rockingham, North Carolina. We carry brand names such as Southern Tide, Vineyard Vines, Sperry, Rainbow, Simply Southern, and many more. We have clothes, shoes and gifts for all ages. Since beginning work there in 2013, I have gained trust from the two owners. While in school, I work in the Newberry location and while at home, I work in either the Cheraw or Rockingham location. With that responsibility comes opening and closing the stores and being in charge of the money earned those days. I have a vast knowledge of merchandising and help order for the stores sometimes. I have also collaborated on designing and making the new website for the stores.

Under Dr. Roy Parnell, I was able to shadow him and his pharmacy technicians to gain experience in a pharmacy. I learned generics of medicines, how to properly dispense and label medicines, and how to work the prescription software on their computer. Along with keeping up with every individual patient's files, I was also responsible for maintaining medicine inventory and drug store merchandise inventory. Working with the public was challenging at times, but very rewarding to make personal connections with customers everyday.
