Leads the human resources function for the institution, responsible for payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, labor and employee relations, investigations, performance management and reporting. Serves as a member of BBG's DEAI Core Team and ensures HR policy and practice are equitable and inclusive. Collaborates with managers around employee relations and labor relations issues. Oversaw the transition of payroll vendors (from Paychex to ADP Workforce Now), implemented electronic time-keeping, applicant tracking system , performance management platform, benefits administration platform and training. Standardizes procedures around technology and partners with department leaders to implement usage and train staff.

Served as the first human resources professional at the organization; managed the human resources function. Processed payroll and benefits, onboarding and off-boarding, established policies and procedures and provided guidance to managers and employees.

Managed all employee transactions for Columbia College Human Resources including; student payroll, leaves of absence, onboarding, offboarding, time-keeping and employee record changes.

Managed leaves of absence for all employees at Columbia University; processed disability and workers comp claims working directly with departments and insurance carriers. Provided guidance to department administrators around leave management and return to work. Supported the Manager of Disability around case management and reasonable accommodations.

Supported multiple research projects around supporting work opportunities for all. In collaboration with Workplace Center staff, developed and facilitated a community of practice or foster care professionals to discuss strategies to increase work opportunities for youth in care. Contributed to a literature review around best practices for supporting work for foster youth.

With guidance from the Executive Director, provided direct service to visually impaired clients including, counseling and connection to social work services. Supported Visions staff with groups, programming and record keeping.

Taught 5th, 6th and 7th grade humanities in English in a bilingual school.

Taught Social Studies to 7th and 8th grade students at the Academy for Collaborative Education in Harlem, New York City.
